Hursley 10 - News Update Wednesday 1^st September 2010

Runners

We have over 450 runners already signed up which is great, however we are keen to get to 500 and with the holiday period still on-going we have decided to extend the entries until 23:59 on Sunday the 12^th September. There will be strictly no entry on the day due to administration and chip timing requirements. So if you are still to make up your mind, or you want to let a friend know, you can still enter online at www.hursley10k.co.uk

10K Update.

A full admin instruction will be sent out via email on 14th September. However there are a few points that we will mention at this stage which may be subject to change:

1.       We are planning to have race numbers and timing chips available for collection at John Keble School, Hursley as follows :

a.       Saturday 18^th between 3-4 pm for those runners in the area and who want to miss the morning rush on race day.

b.       ON RACE DAY from 8am until 10am

2.       Each runner will be sent their entry details, by email, including their run number during the week leading up to the event. Runners will need to print the “run number” email and present at registration as proof of entry.

3.       Main race starts at 10.30 am.

4.       Tee-Shirts are to be collected, by those that have order, once you finish the run (you will need to hand in your run number). We hope to have a few for sale on the day.

5.       There are no medals at the finish of this year’s event

6.       We hope to have a map showing the course ready to be sent out with the admin instruction on 14^th Sept if not before.

Don’t forget the Kids Fun Run.
Starting after the main run at approx. 12am. An update regarding the kids fun run will be sent / published on the website in the near future.
